License

Learn more about the daisyUI Blocks licensing model. Have a question? Get in touch and we'll help you out.

What you buy

daisyUI Blocks grants you an ongoing, non-exclusive license to use the blocks you purchase. Access is sold as All Access: one single purchase, never a subscription.

All Access unlocks every block in the library, and the license grants permission to one individual (the Licensee) to access and use them. See the details on the pricing page.

What All Access covers

All Access is a single one-time purchase that unlocks the entire catalog: every block available today, plus every block we add in the future.

Future blocks are included at no extra cost. As the library grows, new blocks and categories are added to your account automatically, so one purchase covers everything, forever.

Your rights

You can:

  • Use the blocks you purchased to create unlimited End Products.
  • Modify the blocks to create derivative blocks. Those derivatives are subject to this license.
  • Use the blocks to create unlimited End Products for unlimited Clients.
  • Use the blocks to create End Products where the End Product is sold to End Users.
  • Use the blocks to create End Products that are open source and freely available to End Users.

You cannot:

  • Use the blocks to create End Products that are designed to allow an End User to build their own End Products using the blocks or derivatives of the blocks.
  • Re-distribute the blocks or derivatives of the blocks separately from an End Product, neither in code nor as design assets.
  • Share your access to the blocks with any other individuals.
  • Use the blocks to produce anything that may be deemed by daisyUI Blocks, in their sole and absolute discretion, to be competitive or in conflict with the business of daisyUI Blocks.

Example usage

Examples of usage allowed by the license:

  • Creating a personal website by yourself.
  • Creating a website or web application for a client that will be owned by that client.
  • Creating a commercial SaaS application (like an invoicing app for example) where end users have to pay a fee to use the application.
  • Creating a commercial self-hosted web application that is sold to end users for a one-time fee.
  • Creating a web application where the primary purpose is clearly not to simply re-distribute the blocks (like a conference organization app that uses the blocks for its UI for example) that is free and open source, where the source code is publicly available.

Examples of usage not allowed by the license:

  • Creating a repository of your favorite daisyUI Blocks blocks (or derivatives based on daisyUI Blocks blocks) and publishing it publicly.
  • Creating a UI library using daisyUI Blocks blocks and making it available either for sale or for free.
  • Converting daisyUI Blocks blocks to another framework and making them available either for sale or for free.
  • Creating a Figma or Sketch UI kit based on the daisyUI Blocks block designs.
  • Creating a "website builder" project where end users can build their own websites using blocks included with or derived from daisyUI Blocks.
  • Creating a theme, template, or project starter kit using the blocks and making it available either for sale or for free.

In simple terms, use daisyUI Blocksfor anything you like as long as it doesn't compete with daisyUI Blocks.

Refund policy

Because these are digital products delivered instantly, we typically do not issue refunds. Once a digital file is delivered it cannot be returned, and unfortunately some individuals have misused refund requests in the past.

We ask that you carefully consider your purchase before completing it. Please also avoid putting us in a difficult situation with refund requests unless you have a genuine or exceptional reason.

Common scenarios where refunds are not granted:

  • You've already downloaded the product but decided you no longer want it.
  • You changed your mind after purchasing.
  • The item was bought by mistake.
  • You're unable to use or implement the code due to lack of technical skills.
  • You feel the item doesn't meet your personal expectations or standards.
  • You request a refund without offering a valid reason or explanation.

This isn't a complete list, just examples of situations we encounter frequently.
